Warranty / Payment Terms & Conditions

Payment Terms

Omega Greenpower payment terms are:
(a) 50% Deposit of the total amount including GST is payable upon written acceptance of quotation and/or receipt of purchase order, provided the installation is not subject to finance.

(b) Other deposit amount by negotiation with Omega Greenpower.

(c) The remainder is due 7 days after installation. The STC rebates may be claimed by us and, if so, the value of the rebate will be deducted from the balance payment.

(d) If the installation is being financed, financiers generally only make a single payment. Under these circumstances an invoice will be issued for 100% of the installation prior to commencement. Please note some financiers may not finance GST or Rebates.

(e) For dispatch of goods from the Omega Greenpower warehouse – goods must be paid for in full before dispatch.

Limited Warranty

Omega Greenpower Ltd ABN 30 056 519 718 (herein after referred to as “Omega Greenpower”) are proud of our products and are committed to providing our customers and end users with the best designed and manufactured products. This Limited Warranty and Service Policy describes Omega Greenpower’s warranty and warranty procedures.

Scope of Warranty

All Omega Greenpower products are warranted against defects in manufacture.

Warranty Period

Omega Greenpower products are warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of sale to the customer and/or end user from Omega Greenpower’s warehouses/agents/retailers unless otherwise specified, for use under normal operating conditions (1&2). All warranty claims must be submitted to Omega Greenpower prior to the expiration of the warranty period along with proof of purchase.

Standard Warranty Procedure

(a) For warranty service please contact Omega Greenpower on 1800 50 50 88 for a Return Authority (RA) number.
Information required by the warranty officer prior to issuing RA Number:
i. Model & serial number of the product (if applicable)
ii. Reason for return.
iii. Quantity
iv. Purchasing store contact name & phone number.
v. Customer reference number
(b) Procedure to receive warranty service
An RA number is needed prior to return. To assist our Warranty Officer when returning product, please record the RA Number clearly on the exterior of the packaging and enclose with the
goods the following:
1/ Copy of the original purchase invoice.
2/ Description of the defect or problem.

It is important to pack the goods properly as damage to product in transit to Omega Greenpower may invalidate warranty. The goods must be returned within two weeks of the issuing of a RA number and marked to the attention of the Warranty Centre.

Repair by Other than a Omega Greenpower Authorised Service Agent

Repairs made by non-approved service agent renders warranty void.

Repairs or Replacement Within the Scope of the Warranty

If an Omega Greenpower product is defective due to poor workmanship or materials and the defect occurs during the warranty period, then Omega Greenpower will either repair the product or replace it with a new one, at Omega Greenpower’s sole discretion.

Repairs Outside the Scope of the Warranty

Circumstances in which the warranty claim may be invalidated include, but not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Accident
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Incomplete, or incorrect, installation
  • Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation
Rejection of Warranty

Where faults are identified as outside the scope of our warranty, the customer will be notified. Stock will be returned direct to the customer within 30 working days and a freight cost charged to the customers account. Additionally, if goods are found to be non warranty or no fault, a service labour fee may be charged.

Credit

In the event of a decision by Omega Greenpower to issue a credit on a warranty product, Omega Greenpower will endeavour to issue a credit note within 30 days of receiving advice from a
customer.

Intended Use

Our products are designed for specific needs and uses. Any use of the product outside the specific design usage will void the warranty.

Product Specifications

All product specifications, applications and other information provided in Omega Greenpower’s catalogues and publications are subject to correction and change without notice and should be confirmed with the Omega Omega Greenpower Sales Office prior to ordering.

No Other Warranties and Liability Limitation

This Limited Warranty and Service Policy represents Omega Greenpower’s sole and exclusive warranty obligation with respect to Omega Greenpower products. Omega Greenpower’s liability to a customer or any other person shall not exceed the Omega Greenpower’s sales price of the applicable product. This policy covers warranty return only. This does not exclude the rights or other legal remedy of the customers under the Trades Practices Act or other applicable
legislation.

Note:

(1) Normal Operating Conditions means:
– Ventilation: All ventilation/filter openings are to be free of dust/dirt/lint etc to ensure sufficient airflow over motor bearings/windings etc so as to maintain correct operating temperatures.
– Moisture: Unless otherwise specifically designed for, all installations should be maintained in a moisture free environment.
– Voltage, Frequency, Load conditions must be within the design parameters of the product.
– The product must be used for the purpose for which it is intended and the application for which it was designed.
– Installed in accordance with the relevant Omega Greenpower instructions and other documentation.
(2) Omega Greenpower will not give warranty to their customer on product that exceeds 2 years from date of manufacture.
